Phi Chi SXM

Hey,

So, I have not been on the ball about updating this site.  I am sorry for that.  I guess classes have been getting me bogged down.  So here is an update.

Last semester Phi Chi helped out with Community Action Day.  CAD is a day that AUC students partake in once every couple semesters wherein we go help out with Diabetes screening, HIV Screening, Painting, and ICAN children’s home help.

This semester, we have 34 pledges!  Phi Chi is growing and will soon be the largest organization on campus!  Take that AMSA!

On Sunday we held our rush event at Dr. Atchley’s house.  As per usual we had a great time and had a fantastic spread of food laid out for us.  Unfortunately the rain probably prevented some potential pledges from attending the event.  We still had a great time.  Thanks to all that came out!

Hello guys,

My name is Ryan and I am taking over as Historian for Phi Chi and I will be posting periodically to chronicle the goings on of our chapter. Here are a few pictures that I inherited that have not yet been posted.

Yesterday student Organizations collaborated for Community Action Day. Phi Chi hosted the kayak / lagoon cleanup. Hard work but the locals were surely grateful for the beautification effort!

After a successful Wine and Cheese Party, the donated money was presented to the Yellow Cross of St. Martin at the last Phi Chi general meeting.

This weekend was the rush for this semester’s new comers. Great food, great company, and beautiful weather!

Phi Chi and AUC Honors Society jointly hosted this past semester’s Wine and Cheese event and Dr. Atchley’s house. Students, Professors, Staff, friends, and family dressed in their finest for the party, and the night turned out to be a resounding success.

Several weeks ago was Phi Chi’s 2009 Heineken Regatta boat trip. I can personally attest to fun that was had by all who attended. Of course, much thanks to Dan and others who organized the trip. Pictures will come soon!

Congratulations to all those Phi Chi members who matched this past week!  Your hard work and determination has paid off, and you are one step closer to fulfilling your dreams.  You have much to be proud of, and should celebrate this momentous occasion.
